In response to the sustainable development strategy, KKS used a new type of PP (polypropylene) in the manufacture of beverage ice buckets, using a new manufacturing process. Our new ice buckets now contain 30% recycled content.
The specific gravity of PP material: 0.9-0.91 g/cm3, which is nearly 23% lighter than its predecessor, and is currently the lightest general-purpose plastic. Molding shrinkage: 1.0-2.5%, molding temperature: 160-220℃, low material density, better strength, stiffness, hardness and heat resistance than low pressure polyethylene, can be used at about 100 degrees. It has good electrical properties and high frequency insulation, and is not affected by humidity. Common acid and alkali organic solvents have little effect on it, and are commonly used in PP cups, basins, etc., which are safer and more reliable than the ABS materials used before.
Polypropylene also includes copolymers of propylene with small amounts of ethylene. Usually translucent colorless solid, odorless and nontoxic. Due to the regular structure and high crystallization, the melting point is as high as 167 ° C, heat resistance, and the products can be sterilized by steam, which are its outstanding advantages.
PP materials are easily decomposed under certain conditions. Due to this feature, KKS plastic barrels and other products can be decomposed and recycled for secondary separation, which is conducive to the sustainable development and utilization of resources.
